The Registration for the October GP Circuit events for 2026 is now open
October event will be held after the conclusion of the Commonwealth Schools Chess Championship 2026 and should act as the warming up act for the upcoming World Amateur Chess Olympiad hosted by Persatuan Catur Negeri Selangor from 4th to the 14th of October 2026.
With only one remaining major National events to be conculded – which is the National Interstate Chess Championship, all the other events in the MCF Calendar are done and dusted. MCF has already prepared the Calendar for 2027 and its released should be finalized by October 2026 with the National Junior, the Grand Prix Championship Rounds and the National Youth Chess Championship are set to be the event openers for January 2027
The October Monthly event is a SILVER GP CIRCUIT EVENT with 300 GP Points up for grabs. The total prize fund is RM1,500 to be awarded to the top 5 players, with additional prizes for 5 category winners: Women, Veteran, U1800, Unrated, and OKU (Terms and Conditions apply)
